Creating the Book
This is something that I have been working on for the past two to three years and I am so very excited to share it with you. I have made my very first photography book and it's all about abandoned places!
I've been exploring abandoned places since I was a kid; we had a forest behind our neighborhood and I used to explore it with my brothers. We stumbled upon an abandoned house in the woods and my love for urban exploration began.
Fast forward to 2016 when I started taking my camera to abandoned places with me. I fell in love with the decay and the aesthetic it created and I wanted to capture and share it with the world.
I didn't start taking photos with the intent to create a book, but after three years of exploring abandoned places around the world, I figured, why not sit down and get these properly printed out into a photography book. I bought a template and spent hours selecting photos, writing stories, and designing this book. It is a massive achievement and it feels amazing to have my hands on the first copy of it.
No Tracers - An Urban Explorer's Diary dives into the world of urban exploration via abandoned buildings. Within its pages lie stories from the various explorations that I've gone on, from California hospitals, where the security guards let us in, to an abandoned restaurant in Portugal, and many other locations across the United States and beyond. I also take the time to discuss my thoughts on the city's' decision to leave buildings full of contaminated material, patient files, and sometimes even bodies. Yikes!
This book is 82 pages of high res photography that will make a killer addition to your collection of coffee table books.
