Abandoned Army Warehouse

Updated: Oct 10, 2022

Note:

I have a new site dedicated to my urban exploration called No Tracers. Check it out for new updates!

So my friend Ian is a seasoned urban explorer and invited me on a bando in Los Angeles. Armed with my Sony A7Sii, Glidecam, and Rokinon cinema lenses, we walked right into the building. Turns out it was an abandoned army warehouse that later was turned into a swap meet location. Now it sits, abandoned, and has been turned into an urban museum of street art. In the great words of Banksy, "when you go to an art gallery you are simply a tourist looking at the trophy cabinet of a few millionaires. Graffiti is an artist's way of showcasing art for free, the way it should be.

Here are some of the shots I took. Also, enjoy the behind the scenes video I made.

This is redefining the selfie.

Art makes the world a better place.

The way buildings fall apart has always fascinated me.

The ceilings fall apart from the constant weather changes, the support beams buckle, and the walls fall apart.

This was the final shot of the day. I had such an amazing time with these fellas and can't wait for more adventures.
